Transfer of students in forms II, III and IV of Regional State Secondary Schools

Parents are informed that a limited number of vacancies exist in Forms II, III and IV in a few Regional State Secondary Schools for the school year 2012.

Same has been announced by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources.

The Ministry is consequently carrying out a transfer exercise in an attempt to fill the existing vacancies as well as consequential vacancies likely to occur during the course of this exercise, such consequential vacancies possibly arising also in other schools where currently there are no vacancies.



Eligibility and selection criteria:

• Only students who have passed the end of 2011 (3rd term) examinations will be eligible for consideration.

The vacancies will be filled zone wise and strictly on the basis of the CPE grade aggregate of the student.

How to apply:

(i). Interested Responsible Parties should call at one of the following Customer Care Desks on any day from Tuesday 6 to Thursday 8 December 2011 between 09 00 and 15 00 hrs to fill in the prescribed Application Form for transfer.

Originals and photocopies of all required documents will have to be submitted on the same day.

Zone 1 - Port Louis & the North - Ministry of Education and Human Resources Edith Cavell Street, Port Louis - Tel No 211 2403.

Zone 2 - Beau Bassin, Rose Hill & the East - Ministry of Education and Human Resources Sir F. Herchenroder Street, Beau Bassin – Tel No 454 7090/465 3788.

Zone 3 - Curepipe & the South - Ministry of Education and Human Resources
Royal Road, Rose Belle (opposite Police Station) – Tel No 627 2441

Zone 4 - Vacoas/Phoenix, Q. Bornes & the West - Dr. Maurice Curé State College, St Paul Road, Vacoas – Tel No 696 6357 (Directorate Zone 4)

(ii). Applications may also be submitted online at http://citizen.gov.mu and choosing “Application for the transfer of students” among the list of available e-services. This service will be kept activated from Wednesday 9 November 2011 to Friday 9 December 2011.

Applicants will subsequently be requested to call at the Ministry of Education and Human Resources, Phoenix or at one of the above Zone Directorates for submission of all required supporting documents.
Documents required:

The following documents should be submitted together with the Application Form:

(i). Original and photocopy of Birth Certificate of pupil

(ii). National Identity card of Responsible Party

(iii). Original and one photocopy of CPE examination result slip

(iv). Original and one photocopy of the 2011 end of year (3rd term) examination results

(v). Originals and photocopies of CEB and CWA Bills for the last three months in case of a request for transfer based on a change of address.

Original of Medical Certificate from Government Medical Officer where request for transfer is made on medical grounds.

Closing date:

Applications submitted after Friday 9 December 2011 will not be considered.

Important note:

1. The Ministry will not accept applications for transfer of students

(i). to Form V and Form VI

(ii). to National Colleges

2. Responsible Parties having made a prior request for a transfer should submit a fresh application on the prescribed form within the prescribed date limit.

3. The Ministry reserves the right not to fill any given vacancy as a result of this communiqué.
