Wi-Fi gives you wireless internet access with no fuss and no cables. Wi-Fi hotspots are places where you can access the internet - typically in places such as hotels, airport, cybercafés or any other public area where there are many potential internet users. You'll find here a list of hotspots throughout the island.
How do I access the Internet when I am in a Wi-Fi hotspot?
First your laptop needs to be Wi-Fi enabled.
As soon as you enter a hotspot, an icon pops up on your laptop, indicating that a wireless network is available. To login to this network and access the internet, you will need to buy credit. You can do this by purchasing prepaid vouchers from any hotspot. The voucher will provide you with a login and a password and a set amount of hours for surfing.
- Now open your browser and enter any internet address
- An Orange logon screen will appear
- Enter the login/password provided on the voucher
- Your remaining credit will be shown
- Surf as you pleasee
- To logout, close the logout window
- If your credit has run out whilst you are surfing, you will be automatically logged out
- You can check remaining credit, change password and manage your account online on the web self care page
